I was on maternity leave with my newborn, Kai, and decided to design and make him a special Baby Blanket!  As I entered a fabric market, ideas of what I could create flooded my mind and the adventure of Emily Kai began.  I started creating from fabrics and loved watching the ideas in my mind come to life.  The passion that filled my heart as a new mother overflowed into designing and I alternated between designing and nursing with all the challenges and struggles that evolved into a beautiful company that fills the hearts of many around the world!
